A woman is now facing several charges following the discovery that her child needed multiple rotten teeth removed.
Authorities report that 30-year-old Shelby Szul allegedly left her child at a residence in Union Township and then vanished without further contact.

Another individual at the home told police they attempted to reach Szul without success after one of the child’s teeth broke.

Children and Youth Services were contacted and promptly ensured the child received necessary dental care.
Szul has since been charged with child endangerment and neglect.
