Azawi recently underwent a remarkable dental makeover valued at over Shs 24 million to transform her smile and enhance her public image. Reflecting on her journey, she revealed that her appearance was a significant concern when she first entered the music industry. One of the main issues was a diastema—a small gap between her front teeth—which had become more pronounced after an accidental fall.
Determined to improve her confidence and stage presence, Azawi prioritized fixing her smile early on. She consulted a dentist who guided her through a comprehensive transformation. The final result included 12 dental veneers—six on the upper front teeth and six on the lower set. Each veneer cost about Shs 1 million, not including additional procedural fees.
Beyond the veneers, the dental treatment involved several root canal procedures, each priced at roughly Shs 800,000. Azawi covered the entire cost herself, amounting to more than Shs 24 million in total. Despite the significant expense, she expressed satisfaction with the outcome, emphasizing that the investment was well worth the boost to her confidence and career.
